Overview

McNally Smith College of Music is a private college of contemporary music in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Initially named Musictech College, it was renamed McNally Smith College in honor of its founders Doug Smith and Jack McNally in 2005. Diploma courses, associate’s degrees, and bachelor’s degrees are offered in composition and songwriting; music business; performance in bass, guitar, voice, drums, brass & woodwinds, keyboard, and strings; and live sound, production, and recording engineering.

McNally Smith College of Music has a number of student loan options and grants for those who are eligible including Federal Academic Competitiveness Grants (ACG), Federal Work Study, Federal Family Educational Loans, and Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grants (SEOG).

The college also offers scholarships such as the Schmitt Music Scholarship, the Chris Coleman Brass & Woodwinds Scholarship, the Bed Sidran Scholarship for Excellence in Music Production, and the Conclave Music Business Scholarship.
