Overview

McPherson College or MC is a 4-year, private college in McPherson, Kansas. MC was chartered by leaders of the Church of the Brethren in 1887. MC, which is situated on more than 20 acres, offers majors in more than 20 academic disciplines including history, mathematics, music, business, art, and communication.

McPherson College has numerous clubs and organizations including the Student Ministry Advisory Group, Phi Alpha Theta, the Creative Arts Society, the Business Club, and Lambdi Pi Eta. The sports teams, which are known as the Bulldogs, participate in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics.

Jonathan Coachman - present ESPN personality and former World Wrestling Entertainment is a famous graduate of McPherson College. MC has a diverse student body with representatives from more than 5 foreign countries and over 30 states.

McPherson College provides on-campus housing for 415 of its 530 (full-time) students (as of 2009-2010). The school requires freshmen to live on campus.

Athletics
