The Medical University of South Carolina, also known as MUSC, is a public university located in Charleston, South Carolina, United States. The university was established in 1824 as a small, private college for training physicians. MUSC is the sixth oldest continually operating school of medicine in the nation. The university offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in diverse areas of study. MUSC is organized into the following academic divisions:
