Mercy College Of Health Sciences

The Mercy College of Health Sciences is a private, Catholic institution for higher education. It was first started as the Mercy Hospital Training School in 1899 by the Sisters of Mercy. The college got its present name in 1995 and it aims at providing quality education to the students in the field of health care. The Mercy College of Health Science offers the students with bachelor’s, associate’s and certificate degree programs in a number of areas such as humanities, mathematical science, natural science, and physical therapist assistant. The college also offers an advanced specialty certificate program on nuclear medicine technology. The college has the following three divisions:

  • Allied Health Division
  • Division of Liberal Arts and Science
  • Nursing Division

Mercy College of Health Science has an active Greek life consisting of honor societies such as Sigma Theta Tau and Alpha Beta kappa. The college also has various special interest societies such as Society of Nuclear Medicine, Association of Nursing Students and the American Association of Medical Assistants. The college also has an active Student Senate.
