Overview

Meridian Community College, also referred to as MCC, is a public, two-year, community college situated in Meridian, Mississippi, United States. It was established in the year 1937. It was originally founded as Meridian Junior College which merged with T.J. Harris Junior College in 1970. It was renamed Meridian Community College in 1987. The campus spreads across an area of more than 70 acres. Meridian Community College enrolls over 4,000 students annually. It offers several associate degrees and certificate programs in diverse areas of study.

MCC’s student body is diverse and impressive with a variety of clubs and organizations. Among these are the Arts Students League, Business Student Organization, Baptist Student Union, Graphic Artist Association, Student Practical Nursing Organization, and MCC Writers Club. There are also several honor societies such as Phi Beta Lambda and Phi Theta Kappa.
