Overview

Mesalands Community College is a two-year college situated on a 23-acre campus in Tucumcari, New Mexico. It was originally founded on the basis of a 1979 act of legislature as the Tucumcari Area Vocational School. Substantial growth and expansion in subsequent years led it to be renamed Mesalands Community College in 2001.

The college offers associate's degree level education in business, education, computer science, paleontology, nail technology, farrier science, fine arts bronze and commercial truck driving. It also houses the North American Wind Research and Training Center.
