Overview
Metropolitan Community College-Blue River, or MCC-Blue River, and also known as Blue River Community College, was established in 1997 as a branch campus of Metropolitan Community College. The college boasts of an enrollment of over 3,500 students per semester. MCC-Blue River is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association. Their sports teams are known as the Trail Blazers. MCC-Blue River offers an array of degrees and certificate programs and is made up of the following academic divisions:
- Division of Business Technology, Mathematics & Public Safety
- Division of Humanities
- Division of Natural Science & Social Sciences
MCC-Blue River has a number of student organizations that arrange various activities throughout the year. Some of these organizations are the Science Club, Phi Theta Kappa, Center Place Restoration Campus Ministries, Student Activities Council, Re-Entry Club, Organization for the Purpose of Political Discussion, Martial Arts Club, and Drama Club.
