Metropolitan State College Of Denver

The Metropolitan State College of Denver was founded in 1965 as an opportunity school. The college is also referred as the Metro State, Metro, or MSCD and has the second largest enrollment in Colorado at the undergraduate level. MSCD offers a number of academic programs ranging from accounting to zoology. In addition, the college has an extensive aviation program and an award winning journalism department.

The following are the academic units of MSCD:

  • School of Professional Studies

There is an active Greek Life in MSCD which includes nine National Groups, three Latino based fraternities and sororities, and three Historically Black fraternities and sororities. In addition, the Greek Association of the Metropolitan State College of Denver organizes several events such as SAE Dodgeball Tournament, Lambda Theta Nu Latina Youth Leadership Conference, and Alpha Phi Alpha ICEBreaker Step Show.

Metro State Athletics

Metro State is in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference for major sports.
