Overview
Mid America Christian University is also known as MACU. MACU is a liberal arts college based on Bible and ministry education. It is a private Christian college established in 1953 as the South Texas Bible Institute in Houston. After undergoing a series of changes, MACU was relocated to Oklahoma City in 1985 where it adopted its current name. MACU's recent enrollments have been more than 700 students. The campus consists of eight buildings spread over 65 acres of land.
MACU offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in more than 25 major fields of study which includes music, pastoral ministry, social studies and professional counseling. It offers Bible courses as well. The athletic teams at MACU are known as Evangels. The teams participate in sports including baseball, golf, basketball, soccer and volleyball.
