Mid-Continent University

Mid-Continent University was established in 1949. It is a private Baptist institution of liberal arts located in Mayfield, Kentucky. Classes are also offered in a number of campuses across Kentucky and Illinois. The college awards a number of associate’s and bachelor’s degrees in the fields of science and ministry. Mid-Continent University is organized into the following academic divisions:

• Baptist College of Arts and Science
• Dr. James W. Cecil Baptist College of the Bible

Mid-Continent University's athletics department fields teams in baseball, basketball, soccer, softball and volleyball. The teams are known as the Cougars and are members of the Tran South Athletic Conference, the NAIA and the National Christian College Athletics Association.

Housing and Meals

Mid-Continent University provides on-campus housing for 136 of its 1,306 (full-time) students (as of 2008-2009).

Students may purchase a meal plan which includes 19 meals weekly.

Athletics

The school is in the TranSouth Athletic Conference for major sports.

The school offers financial aid for athletes. Of students receiving athletic financial aid, 111 male students received the aid (men were 69% of those receiving aid) and 49 women were awarded financial aid based on athletics (representing 31% of students receiving such aid) .
