Overview
Mid-Continent University was established in 1949. It is a private Baptist institution of liberal arts located in Mayfield, Kentucky. Classes are also offered in a number of campuses across Kentucky and Illinois. The college awards a number of associate’s and bachelor’s degrees in the fields of science and ministry. Mid-Continent University is organized into the following academic divisions:
- Baptist College of Arts and Science
- Dr. James W. Cecil Baptist College of the Bible
Mid-Continent University's athletics department fields teams in baseball, basketball, soccer, softball and volleyball. The teams are known as the Cougars and are members of the Tran South Athletic Conference, the NAIA and the National Christian College Athletics Association.
