Overview
Middle Georgia College, also referred to as MGC, is located in Cochran, Georgia, United States. It was founded in 1884. The college's first building was constructed in 1885, and the first classes were held on January 10, 1887, with approximately 100 students. It became Middle Georgia Agricultural and Mechanical Junior College on August 20, 1927, and adopted its current name on August 28, 1929. MGC enrolled over 3,500 students as of the Fall Semester 2007. In addition, the college has campuses in Dublin and Eastman. MGC is made up of the following academic units:

- Division of Health Sciences
- Humanities Division
- Natural Sciences, Mathematics, Engineering and G.A.M.E.S. Division
- Social Sciences and Education Division
There are several student clubs and organizations at MGC such as the Baptist Student Union, MGC Association of Nursing Students, Collegiate 4-H, Minority Alliance Club, ENCORE Players and Singers, United Voices of Praise, and O.T.A. Student Organization.
