Midwestern University, also referred to as MWU, was established in 1900. MWU was initially founded as the American College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery. In 1986, it moved from its Hyde Park campus to the Downers Grove site. The university's two campuses are the Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downers Grove, Illinois, and the Midwestern University Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in Glendale, Arizona.
Midwestern University Downers Grove campus spreads across an area of more than 100 acres. It offers several degree programs including Physician’s Assistant, Doctor of Pharmacy, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Podiatric Medicine Program, and Doctor of Clinical Psychology.
