Overview
Millikin University, also known as MU, is located in Decatur, Illinois, United States. It was established in 1901. It was founded by James Millikin, a well-known Decatur businessman. The university's first women dormitory was opened in September 1907. The MU campus spreads across an area of approximately 2,000 acres. The university presently enrolls about 2,400 students and offers a wide variety of academic degrees and vocational programs in diverse areas of study. It also runs a bi-weekly newspaper called the "Decaturian." MU is organized into the following academic schools and colleges:

MU recognizes a number of fraternities and sororities such as Omega Psi Phi, Delta Sigma Phi, Alpha Tau Omega, Tau Kappa Epsilon, Phi Mu Alpha, Alpha Chi Omega, Delta Sigma Theta, Sigma Alpha Iota, Sigma Lambda Gamma, and Delta Delta Delta.
