Overview

Minneapolis Community and Technical College is a community and technical college located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It was founded in February, 1996 after the merger of the Minneapolis Technical College and Minneapolis Community College. The college's campus is located near Loring Park. It enrolls more than 10,000 students annually. MCTC is a part of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System.

Minneapolis Community College offers a wide variety of programs and degrees in diverse areas of study. The campus is home to several clubs and organizations, including the Polysomnography Club, the Student Nurses Association and Skills USA. Its official mascot is the Maverick.
