Minnesota State University-Moorhead

Minnesota State University Moorhead is a four-year, public university located in Moorhead, Minnesota. It was established in 1887. MSUM enrolls more than 7,000 students and employs over 330 faculty members every year. It is a part of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system. MSUM is organized into the following academic units:

MSUM’s athletic teams are nicknamed the Dragons. ‘The Advocate’ is the student run newspaper of the university. MSUM also publishes a literary magazine known as the 'Red Weather.' KMSC is the student-run radio station.

Housing and Meals

Minnesota State Moorhead provides on-campus housing for 1,598 of its 6,578 (full-time) students (as of 2008-2009).

Students may purchase a meal plan which includes 21 meals weekly.

Athletics

School sports include football, basketball, baseball, and track. The school is in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference for major sports.
