Minnesota State University-Moorhead

Minnesota State University Moorhead is a four-year, public university located in Moorhead, Minnesota. It was established in 1887. MSUM enrolls more than 7,000 students and employs over 330 faculty members every year. It is a part of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system. MSUM is organized into the following academic units:

  • College of Social & Natural Sciences

MSUM’s athletic teams are nicknamed the Dragons. ‘The Advocate’ is the student run newspaper of the university. MSUM also publishes a literary magazine known as the 'Red Weather.' KMSC is the student-run radio station.

School sports include football, basketball, baseball, and track. Minnesota State Moorhead is in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference for major sports.
