Overview

Minot State University, also referred to as MSU, is located in Minot, North Dakota. This university was founded in 1913 and boasts of being the third largest public university in North Dakota. MSU also offers graduate and undergraduate degree programs. There are 4 colleges under the university which are:

  • College of Arts and Sciences
  • College of Business
  • College of Education and Health Sciences
  • Graduate School

The many organizations and clubs available on campus include the Criminal Justice Club, the Biology Club, Phi Beta Lambda, Campus Crusade for Christ and Sigma Tau Delta. Students of the university publish a newspaper called the Red and Green through which they voice their opinions and reveal campus news. Students also participate in sports such as hockey, basketball and cross country.

Room and Board

Minot State provides on-campus housing for 731 of its 2,731 (full-time) students (as of 2009-2010). The school requires freshmen to live on campus.

Students may purchase a meal plan which includes 19 meals weekly.

Athletics

School sports include football, basketball, baseball, and track. The school is in the Dakota Athletic Conference for major sports.
