Mission College was established in 1967. The college is part of the West Valley-Mission Community College District, which is administered by the California Community Colleges System. Presently, the college is spread over 160 acres in Santa Clara, Californi, and is located within the "Golden Triangle" business district of Silicon Valley. Mission College offers more than 70 academic and vocational programs.
Mission College is organized into many academic divisions including the computer information technology, foreign languages, graphic design and multimedia, and manufacturing technology. The college also offers various scholarship programs for its academically talented students. The scholarship may range from $50 to several thousand dollars.
The active student organizations of Mission College include Alpha Gamma Sigma, Black Student Union, Latino Student Union, International Students American Friends, Students with Vision and Purpose, International Youth Fellowship, and many more.
