Overview

Mohawk Valley Community College was the first community college established in New York State. It was established in 1946 as the New York State Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences. It became a part of the State University System in 1950. MVCC currently occupies 80 acres of land in southeast Utica. It offers certification and degree programs in over 80 disciplines under the following sections:
