Overview
Montana State University – Bozeman, also known as MSU, is a public university located in Bozeman, Montana, United States. It was established in 1893 as the state's land-grant college. On July 1, 1965, it gained university status and was given its present name. MSU is the main campus in the Montana State University System and the state's land-grant university.
MSU offers bachelor degrees in more than 50 fields, master degrees in more than 40 fields, and doctoral degrees in over 15 fields. It is organized into the following academic divisions:

MSU enrolls more than 12,000 students. Its main campus in Bozeman is home to KUSM and the Museum of the Rockies. MSU’s athletic teams are known as the Bobcats and they participate in the NCAA Division I.
