Overview

Monterey Peninsula College, also known as MPC, is a public community college located in Monterey, California, United States. It was established in the year 1947. MPC is part of the California Community Colleges system. The college endeavors to assist all who participate in its wide-ranging objectives to recognize their highest potential as individuals and become responsible citizens.

The College provides courses that will prepare students to transfer to four-year institutions. It offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in diverse areas of study. It prepares the students for the workplace or for a new career.

MPC’s athletic department fields various men’s and women’s intercollegiate athletic teams. The teams participate in various sports including football, basketball, baseball, golf, cross country, track and field, and soccer. MPC is a member of the Coast Conference.
