Overview

Moorpark College is a state-funded, community college in Ventura County, California, United States. It was established in 1967 by the governing board of the Ventura County Community College District. As of 2006, the college had an enrollment of over 14,300 and more than 170 full time faculty members. The campus is spread across an area of more than 130 acres.

Moorpark College ranks second in the state. This is based on the number of transfers to the University of California and California State University systems. There are various student-run organizations at Moorpark College including the Accounting Society, Alpha Gamma Sigma Honor Society, Alpha Mu Gamma, and Black Student Union.

The college’s student body has a good number of international students. There is an international student club to assist the foreign students. Their sports teams are nicknamed the Raiders.
