Moraine Valley Community College is located in Palos Hills, Illinois, which is in the southwest suburbs of Chicago, United States. It is the second largest community college in the state. It was established in 1967. The main campus spreads across an area of more than 290 acres. The college enrolls more than 45,000 students every year.
The Glacier is the student-run newspaper of Moraine Valley. There are several clubs and organizations on campus for the benefit of students. Some of these are the Inter-Club Council, International Student Club, and Action Social and Political Empowerment Club.
Moraine Valley’s athletic department fields various athletic teams that participate in more than seven sports. The college is a member of the NJCAA All-Region IV and the Illinois Skyway Collegiate All-Conference. The sports teams are nicknamed the Cyclones.
