Mount Carmel College of Nursing, also abbreviated as MCCN, was established in 1903 by the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross. The college was formerly known as Mount Carmel School of Nursing, but it changed to its current name in 1990. It is a private college which specializes in providing education related to the health sciences. MCCN offers the students with bachelor's and master's degrees in areas such as nursing, adult health, nursing education and administration. The college also offers continuing education facilities by offering dietetic internship and refresher courses.
MCCN has an active Greek life consisting of the Sigma Theta Tau international honor society. The college also has a student government association and a student ambassador program.
