Mount Olive College

Mount Olive College, also referred to as MOC, is located in Mount Olive, North Carolina, United States. It was established in 1951 by the Convention of Original Free Will Baptists. The college has other campuses in New Bern, Goldsboro, Washington, Wilmington, and Research Triangle Park. It offers degrees through the following academic schools:

• School of Arts and Sciences
• School of Professional Studies
• Tillman School of Business

MOC has many student clubs and organizations on campus. These include Alpha Phi Sigma, International Club, English Society, Phi Beta Lambda, and Psi Chi. The college's men's teams participate in sports such as golf, soccer, baseball, basketball, track and field, tennis, and volleyball. The women's teams are involved in cross country, basketball, volleyball, golf, track and field, soccer, softball, and tennis.

Housing and Meals

Mount Olive College provides on-campus housing for 347 of its 3,044 (full-time) students (as of 2008-2009). The school requires freshmen to live on campus.

Students may purchase a meal plan which includes 20 meals weekly.

Athletics

The school is in the Carolinas-Virginia Athletic Conference for major sports.

The school offers financial aid for athletes. Of students receiving athletic financial aid, 119 male students received the aid (men were 55% of those receiving aid) and 99 women were awarded financial aid based on athletics (representing 45% of students receiving such aid) .
