Overview

National Labor College, located in Silver Spring, Maryland, was founded in 1974. The college was originally known as the George Meany Center for Labor Studies. After a few name changes, it came to be known by its current name in 2004. Commonly abbreviated as NLC, the college has a 47-acre campus. It offers programs leading to bachelor’s degrees in areas of study like labor studies, union leadership and administration, instructional technology and organization development.

National Labor College offers several types of financial aid the form of loans and scholarships, including the Union Plus National Labor College Scholarship, the AETNA Healthcare Scholarships and the Deferred Billing and Payment Plans.
