Overview
Navarro College was founded in 1946 and is situated in the city of Corsicana, Texas. The college also has Satellite campuses in Mexia, Waxahachie and Midlothian. The campuses in Waxahachie and Mexia were established in the 1970s, and the Midlothian campus was founded in the 2000s. NC is organized into various academic divisions including the department of business administration, behavioral sciences, foreign language, social sciences and English.
NC has officially recognized several Greek Letter Organizations, including Phi Rho Pi, Alpha Omega, Phi Rho Tau, Psi Beta, Phi Theta Kappa, Phi Beta Lambda, Chi Alpha and Alpha Eta Rho. In addition, the college sponsors many student clubs, including the ADN Nursing Club, Golden Circle Reading Club, LEO Club, Speech Masters, Association of Legal Assistants, Students Against Driving Drunk and the International Club.
NC competes as a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association and in the Region XIV Athletic Conference. The football team also participates in the Southwest Junior College Football Conference. Its sports teams are known as the Bulldogs.
