Ner Israel Rabbinical College

Ner Israeli Rabbinical College, also known as NIRC, was founded in 1933 by Rabbi Yaakov Yitzchok Ruderman. The college is named after Rabbi Yisrael Lipkin Salanter, the founder of the famous mussar movement. NIRC is a Lithuanian style Haredi Talmudic college only for men. NIRC is located at Mt. Wilson Lane, Pikesville, Baltimore.

NIRC offers programs which are influenced by the concept of “Torah Lishmah” and revolves around Talmudic texts and rabbinic literature. The college is renowned for its Talmudic Studies program offering a bachelor of religious studies degree, but it also has tie ups with other eminent colleges which allow the NIRC students to take night courses in various subjects.

NIRC has a student body that comprises of students from all over the world. NIRC boasts of prominent alumni members such as Rabbi Avrohom Horowitz, Rabbi Pinchas Goldschimdt, and Rabbi Moshe Brown.
