Overview

The New England School of Law is situated in Boston, Massachusetts. It was founded in 1908 and was formerly known as the Portia Law School. NESL became coeducational in 1938 and received its current name in 1969. Students are offered degrees in diverse areas of study like constitutional law, international human rights law, criminal law and mass media law.

Students of the New England School of Law participate in various on-campus clubs and organizations, including the Animal Law Society, the Immigration Law Association, Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity, the American Constitution Society and the American Health Lawyers Association. The Student Bar Association, or SBA, is the governing body of NESL’s students.
