New Jersey Institute of Technology is a public research university located in Newark, New Jersey. It was established in 1881 with only 88 students. NJIT is one of the few universities in the U.S. that offers extensive courses in Video Game development. The campus is spread across an area of 45 acres. NJIT offers more than 90 degree programs in over 25 undergraduate majors and 25 graduate specialties. It is organized into the following academic units:
