Overview

New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, also known as New Mexico Tech or The Tech, is located in Socorro, New Mexico, United States. It was established in 1889 by the Territorial Legislature. The college was ranked as "America's Best Value College" by The Princeton Review in 2007 and positioned among the top hundred colleges by Kiplinger in 2006. The college offers Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, Ph.D. degrees, and associate degrees in diverse areas of study.

New Mexico Tech students are members of clubs related to athletics, automotives, dancing, religion, science, government associations, and gaming. Some of these clubs are the Board & Ski Club, Automotive Racing club, Chinese Students and Scholars Association, Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), Intervarsity Christian Fellowship, and Physics Club.
