The New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary is located in New Orleans, Louisiana. The seminary was established in 1917 as the Baptist Bible Institute. Today, students can pursue bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programs in disciplines like pastoral ministry, Christian education, education ministry, and biblical studies. NOBTS’ undergraduate program is offered through Leavell College.
Apart from academics, the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary also organizes activities for its students and their children. These activities are offered through student organizations like the Fellowship of Black Seminarians. The seminary supports many other students organizations dedicated to a variety of causes, such as racial reconciliation, Bible study, social work and home education of children, among others. Financial assistance is provided through programs like the NOBTS scholarship program, and the FACTS payment plan. NOBTS accepts GI Bill and VA benefits. Eligible students can also apply for seminary grants.
