New River Community and Technical College is located in Beckley, West Virginia, United states. It was established on July 1, 2003. The two parent instituations of New River are Glenville State College, founded in 1872, and Bluefield State College, established in 1895. In addition to the main campus in Beckley, the college has campuses located in Bluefield, Summersville, Lewisburg, and Beaver. New River offers a wide variety of associate degrees and certificate programs in several areas of study.

New River Community and Technical College provides students the Dual Credit/Dual Enrollment facility. This is particularly beneficial for high school students who want to begin their college experience early.

The Student Government Association of New River Community and Technical College organizes many activities and voices students' needs and concerns. They also organize regular meetings which are open to all students.
