Overview

New York Academy of Art, NYAA, is a private, not-for-profit institute in New York, New York. It was founded in 1982 by a group of critics, artists, and art patrons. Students can pursue academic courses in drawing, painting, sculpture, artistic anatomy, print making, and visual culture. NYAA occupies a 40,000 square foot landmark building.

New York Academy of Art encourages student participation in events and activities. NYAA offers financial assistance to deserving candidates through various financial aid programs including federal Stafford loans, federal graduate Plus loans and private loans, and The New York Tuition Assistance Program.
