Founded in 1919, in New York City by Dr. Frank Dean as Columbia Institute of Chiropractic, New York Chiropractic College is one the 17 Chiropractic Colleges in the United States. Also known as NYCC, the campus is spread across an area of 286 acres. New York Chiropractic College's recent enrollments have been approximately 800 students. The college offers programs in clinical nutrition, diagnostic imaging, anatomy and acupuncture and oriental medicine. It confers the master’ of science degrees as well as doctor’s of chiropractic degrees in all the programs. There are also dual degree opportunities. There are two main schools within NYCC including:
- School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine
- School of Applies Clinical Nutrition
The students at New York Chiropractic College are involved in a lot of clubs and organizations including the Activator Club, Canadian Chiropractic Association, Garden Club, Journal Club, Student Government Association and Sports Club.
