Overview
Newman University, also known as NU, is a coeducational, Catholic, liberal arts university located in Wichita, Kansas, United States. It was established in 1902 by the Adorers of the Blood of Christ. It gained university status in 1998. NU is named in honor of John Henry Cardinal Newman, a Roman Catholic priest. The university offers undergraduate as well as master level programs in diverse areas of study.
There are many student activities at Newman University. Students can participate in the wide variety of on-campus clubs and organizations. Some of the popular ones are the Campus Activities Board (CAB), Newman Ambassadors Association, Environmental Change Organization, Health Professionals Club, and Multicultural Leadership Organization.
