Overview
Nicholls State University is a public university located in Thibodaux, Louisiana. It was established in 1948. It is a part of the University of Louisiana System. The university is named after Francis T. Nicholls, the former governor of Louisiana and member of the Louisiana Supreme Court. The main campus is spread across an area of over 280 acres. Nicholls offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in diverse areas of study. It is organized into the following academic divisions:
