Overview
North Central Texas College, also referred to as NCTC, is a coeducational, community college located in Gainsville, Texas, United States. It was established in 1923 under the name of Gainsville Junior College. In the mid-1950s, the College was renamed to Cook County Junior College, but the "Junior" was dropped in 1970. Finally, in 1994, the name underwent a final change to North Central Texas College. The College's campus today stretches over more than 100 acres of rural land.
