Overview
Established in 1873 as North Georgia Agricultural College, North Georgia College and State University, also known as NGCSU, is located in Dahlonega, Georgia. In 1929, the name of the college was changed to North Georgia College. It received the title of state university in 1996. The main campus is spread across an area of more than 100 acres.
North Georgia College and State University offers Bachelor of Science and Arts degrees in diverse areas of study. The university comprises the following schools and colleges:

NGCSU offers several on-campus clubs and organizations. Some of them are the Students Activities Board (SAB), the Student Government Association (SGA), and the Commuter Council.
