North Hennepin Community College was established in 1966 as North Hennepin State Junior College. At that time, classes were held on the campus of the Osseo Junior High School in Osseo, Minnesota. NHCC moved to its current location in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota in 1969, and adopted its current name in 1972. The campus sits on 84 acres of suburban land.
NHCC enrolls more than 9,000 credit students and over 6,000 in its continuing education classes every year. Online classes are offered here as well.
