Overview
Northeast Community College was founded in 1973 by the state legislature of Nebraska. The Northeast Nebraska Technical College and Northeastern Nebraska College are the two institutes that makeup NECC. It is the state’s only community college offering one-and two-year liberal arts, vocational and adult education programs. Apart from its main campus in Norfolk, Nebraska, NECC also has regional education centers in:

- South Sioux City, Nebraska
- West Point, Nebraska
Northeast Community College provides facilities for distance education through interactive distance learning courses, telecourses and online education. The college has an active career services department that provides students with all the help they need in finding and getting their desired jobs after graduation.
