Overview

North East Technical Community College is located in Blountville, Tennessee. It was founded in 1966 as the Tri-cities State Area Vocational-Technical School by the state board of Vocational Education. NETCC enrolls over 5,000 students every year. The college offers over 50 programs for Associate Degrees and more than 30 programs in Associate of Applied Science areas. It also offers evening classes, distance education, online courses and international studies.

NETCC has several active student organizations. It is home to more than 20 regular clubs and professional associations. Some of them are Alpha Sigma Lambda, the Association for Computing Machinery and the Student Tennessee Education Association.
