Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, also referred to as NWTC, was established in 1913 to standardize the education of working young adults. It joined the Wisconsin Technical College System in 1968 and was renamed Northeast Wisconsin Technical Institute. In the late 1980s, the college adopted its present name. Apart from the Green Bay campus, NWTC also has campuses in Sturgeon Bay and Marinette, and learning centers in Crivitz, Luxemburg, Shawano, Florence, and Oconto Falls.
NWTC has more than 90 degrees, apprenticeships, and technical diplomas as well as 81 certificate programs. Some of the academic departments of the college are business management, computer support technician, electrical engineering technology, and marketing and graphic communications. The scholarship programs offered by NWTC are NWTC Foundation Scholarship, Linus M.Stoll Scholarship, Tim Howard Memorial Scholarship, and many more.
There are a wide variety of student organizations at NWTC. Some of these are the Asian American Student Association, Ballroom Dance Club, Clinical Lab Technicians, Phi Theta Kappa, Business Professionals of America, and Hispanic American Student Association.
