Overview

Northern Kentucky University, or NKU, is a public, coeducational university located in Highland Heights, Kentucky. The university is 11 kilometers southeast of Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. NKU's history began in 1943. After several name and status changes, it was finally renamed to Northern Kentucky University in 1976. NKU’s main campus is spread across an area of 400 acres.

NKU offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in diverse areas of study. It is organized into the following academic divisions:
