Overview

Northeast Iowa Community College was founded in 1966. The college is also known as NICC. It is a community college located in Sheldon, Iowa. Originally, the college was known as Northeast Iowa Technical Institute. It became a Community College in 1988 and was renamed NICC in the same year. NICC offers bachelor’s and associate’s degree in several subjects including accounting, business, trade and technology, education and other science and arts subjects. It also offers several online continuing education courses.

NICC is home to may student organizations and clubs. Sigma Kappa Delta, Phi Theta Kappa, SkillsUSA and the Student’s Government Association are some of the clubs and organizations operating on campus. The Student Government Association plans, develops and organizes several student activities and programs on campus.
