Overview

Northwest Vista College, also known as NVC, is a community college within the Alamo Community College District in San Antonio, Texas, United States. It was established after a land donation by the World Savings and Loan Association in 1994. NVC is one of the top community colleges in the United States. Students attending Northwest Vista can pursue a wide range of subjects and activities.

NVC offers programs in Associate of Science (AS), Associate of Arts (AA), Associate of Applied Science (AAS), Certificates of Completion, and Marketable Skills Awards. Students also have the option to take courses that are transferable to many institutions of higher education.

The journalism department of the college hosts the Vista Voice, the school newspaper. The official mascot of the college is the wildcat.
