Overview

Northwestern Connecticut Community College, also known as NCCC, is located in Winsted, Connecticut, United states. It was established in the year 1965 by the residents of Winsted. The institution was initially a private college but was taken over by the state and became a public college in 1965. The college offers degrees in a wide range of subjects.

NCCC offers an active student life and is home to various clubs and organizations. A few of these are the Early Childhood Education Club, Connecticut Association of Veterinary Technicians, the Animation and Video Society, Ski and Snowboard Club, and the Visual Communications Club. The academic honor society, Phi Theta Kappa, was established at NCCC in the year 1987. NCCC also houses an active student government body called the NCCC Student Senate.
