Overview

Northwestern Michigan College, also referred to as NMC, is located in Traverse City, Grand Traverse County, Michigan. This college, established in 1951, enrolls more than 4,000 students annually. NMC offers professional certificates, bachelor’s and master’s degrees and associate degrees to its students in the fields of humanities, communications and social sciences.

The college students take part in the many organizations and clubs on campus. The organizations include the Black Student Association, the Engineering Club, the Honors Program, the Astronomy Club and the Anime Club. The students also get a magazine and a newspaper published on campus through which they express their opinions. There is a radio station on the college campus that is also maintained by the students.
