Overview

Nunez Community College is also known as Elaine P. Nunez Community College. This college was named in the honor of Elaine P. Nunez, the late wife of Samuel B. Nunez. Nunez Community College was established in 1992 when St. Bernard Parish Community College and Elaine P. Nunez Technical Institute merged together. It is located in Chalmette, Louisiana. The college offers associate’s degree and certificate programs in business technology, food service production management, paralegal studies, construction technology, computer information systems, and practical nursing.

Nunez Community College offers financial assistance to eligible students in the form of federal, state and local grants, and student loans. The career services office offers resume writing, job search, and career plan development assistance to students.
