Overview
Oakland University, also referred to as OU, is a coeducational, public, research university located in Rochester, Michigan, United States. It was established in 1957 with the name Michigan State University-Oakland. It was renamed to its present moniker in 1963. The OU campus stretches over 1500 acres of suburban land.
