Overview

Ohio Northern University, also referred to as ONU, is located in Ada, Ohio, United States. The university was established in the year 1871 by Henry Solomon Lehr. It is a United Methodist Church-affiliated, private university offering enrollment to more than 3,000 students every year. ONU has five colleges under it. These are:

  • Claude W. Pettit College of Law
  • Getty College of Arts and Sciences
  • James F. Dicke College of Business Administration
  • Rudolph H. Raabe College of Pharmacy
  • T.J. Smull College of Engineering

Ohio Northern University sponsors a large number of student organizations and clubs. These include societies such as Alpha Lambda Delta, Alpha Phi Sigma, Black Student Union, International Business Club, and Sigma Tau Delta. The university's sports teams are known as the Polar Bears, and they participate in volleyball, baseball, basketball, swimming, tennis, cross country, soccer, track and field, wrestling, softball, golf, and football.
